Turkish historic site threatened by flooding

The historic site of Hasankeyf in southeastern Turkey could disappear under water if the government pushes ahead with a plan to build a hydro-electric dam that would flood part of the ruins of the site. Hasankeyf’s inhabitants fear the dam not only because of the threat to their heritage, but also to their income from tourism.
Wild Turkeys Overrun Oregon City

You see a lot of turkeys this time of year, but most of them are stuffed and on a dining room table. In parts of Eugene, Oregon you can’t take a walk down the street without running into a flock.
