Some Australians want to save the environment by eating more of them, while others just want to study why their flatulence contains almost no greenhouse gasses, compared to heavy emitting cattle and sheep.   1. Some kangaroos species are in serious decline. Other species may be somewhat better off, but that doesn’t mean they should be hunted for their meat and leather. Kangaroos play an important role in the ecosystem. The problem is the ranchers who are contributing to global warming and habitat degradation. The farming of kangaroos is not a solution either, as the farming of wild animals that are used to travelling long distances and having lots of space can never be humane. If you care about climate change, go vegetarian, boycott kangaroo leather shoes and leave the kangaroos alone.
