This is a terrific project.
I learnt about this at the 14th SolarPaces Symposium on CSP (Concentrating Solar Power) in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 4-7, 2008.
Mirrors on a field less than 2 square miles will produce 177 MW of power when the sun is shining.
The linear fresnell mirror technology of Ausra is probably the cheapest solar technology that is available today, a factor 2 cheaper that Photo-voltaic solar panels at least.
